About ÖRT

The Hungarian Advertising Regulatory Board (ÖRT) was established in 1996, following the European model, by the Hungarian advertising industry. Its goal is the same then as it is today: to promote socially responsible, credible communication practices and to protect ethical advertising in Hungary.

ÖRT is today the ethical and self-regulatory center of the Hungarian advertising profession, which actively responds to the challenges of the digital age. In recent years, the organization’s activities have expanded to the online space, influencer communication, and data-driven and artificial intelligence-supported advertising. ÖRT is a key shaper of the Hungarian guidelines for ethical digital advertising and continuously cooperates with the international self-regulatory community to ensure that the application of new technologies serves to strengthen consumer trust.
